Positive Psychology has devised an exercise that has proven time and time again to instantly motivate and raise levels of happiness for everyone who engages in it, the “Visit Celebration and Gratitude” exercise, which at its core is a positive affirmation; And expressing your gratitude for what they gave you and doing for you, and expressing your desire to celebrate that with them in a tangible way, and I advise you to do this training because of its great impact on your relationships.
As with many of the strategies and ideas that positive psychology offers us, there are many ways and methods to do such training. Consider one or all of the following options when planning such a celebratory visit:
Make a list of the people in your life for whom you feel genuine gratitude (parents, spouse, children, family members, friends, teachers, mentors). Call them and tell them how you feel honestly.
* Send them letters expressing your love and gratitude.
* Provide them with a hard copy of your thoughts and feelings, and put it in a frame or save it in some form so that they can keep it.
* Visit one of these people and read your letter to them yourself, or tell them face to face how much they mean to you and how grateful you are for what they have done for you.
Another way to implement this idea is to organize a festive night, where a group of people gather, and each one of them brings with him a person he wants to celebrate, and introduces this person to the rest of the group, emphasizing the imprint that this person left in his life.
Remember that great deeds have a great impact, so don't be afraid to say what's in your heart, such occasions are rare, and we rarely strengthen bonds these days.
Kind words don't cost us much, but they do a lot.
