China's Manned Space Administration announced that designers are working on a new-generation spacecraft that can carry seven astronauts.

The administration's website on the WeChat social network indicates that "the space of the new spacecraft will be larger and can be reused and that designers are currently working on designing a spacecraft that can carry seven people into orbit."

According to chief designer Zhou Jianping, this program will be implemented in the coming years. This spacecraft is expected to reduce the cost of transporting astronauts into orbit.

It should be noted that the spacecraft that China uses to transport astronauts to its space station can accommodate only three astronauts.
