It is based in the minds of many people that the leader is the one who commands and orders. For some, leadership means authority... We find many of those who work in leadership fields turn into dictatorial authorities. Because they do not accept any objection or point of view that contradicts their orders and prohibitions from their subordinates.
This leads to the failure of institutions, departments, and groups in whatever their tasks, a decline in their production, and a decline in their position.
Whatever the field in which the leader leads, he must abandon his belief that he is the sole authority in issuing orders and prohibitions and making decisions.
Decisions and directives should be made through the advice of all experts and specialists in the leadership team, and no individual working in the management center should be excluded.
Shura (consultation) is the principle of success of any leadership.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) says: “Consult, for success is in consultation.”
Tyranny in decisions often results in fatigue and failure.
It is known that levels and degrees of leadership differ from one field to another, but they converge in common general goals, such as good policy and management, focusing on the goal, motivating workers towards achievement, and addressing problems in a collective spirit...
The parents lead the family, the teacher leads his students, the principal leads his employees, the captain leads his team... and so on,
The modern concept of administrative leadership depends on the idea of human relations that link the administrative leader and the members of the administrative organization, not as followers without an entity, but rather as partners in the administrative process with the leader responsible for achieving the common goals of the administrative organization.
The secret behind the leader's success lies in the nature of the relationship between him and the members of his group in making decisions for the benefit of the work. Consultation before giving any order or prohibition brings the leader and his group or team to the right path.
