The father is considered the main focus of the family. He is the source of protection and care. He is the role model, authority, and guide for the family. The relationship between the father and his family members is a continuous relationship that cannot be separated. Because the children need his presence and support; there is a state of constant interaction; because he is the primary caretaker of the family, the presence of the father as a teacher in the children’s lives is considered a necessary factor in their upbringing and preparation...
Also, children are born with nature and safety from distortion, so we see them as honest and dealing with the utmost innocence and purity, except that they are affected by the source of care and upbringing, which are the father and mother, especially the father because of his distinct presence in the eyes of the children. This is why parents have full responsibility for building their children’s selves morally and developing them. Their good faculties and directing them towards doing good, parents should monitor their children’s behavior, focus their attention on moral aspects and activate the control of conscience.
The father is the first teacher in the lives of his children, and the closest role model for them in morals, so he should pay attention to his actions and words. Children pick up everything from him and try to imitate him!
He must be a model of righteousness, benevolence, communication, cooperation and social solidarity, directing his children towards virtues, the pursuit of knowledge, and the creation of noble qualities and good characteristics, following educational methods to implant them in their souls.
In order to achieve this, he must take two aspects into consideration:
The first aspect: continuing to engage in positive behavior and good deeds, and entrusting his children to participate in them, such as involving them in carrying alms to the poor, for example.
The second aspect: To teach them the importance of developing virtuous morals through education and guidance with stories and visual educational programs, and to prepare occasions and atmospheres and create opportunities to apply them, such as urging them to worship and allowing them to frequent mosques, or urging them to Good neighborliness, supports their communication with neighbors’ children, and so on.
The father must avoid the missteps and mistakes that he makes in front of his children in a correct way, not based on justification. Rather, he must explain to them that he acted incorrectly and uttered this bad word incorrectly, and he apologizes to them and corrects his course So that they learn how they can avoid mistakes and correct paths without justifying their mistakes.
