Accepting the child with all his positives and negatives, with his beauty and ugliness, helps create the appropriate atmosphere for success and prosperity in matters, and at the same time pushes him to accept him to bear responsibilities and accomplish the work he needs in his individual and social life. Here are a set of educational methods through which you can make your children feel loved and accepted:
First: Choosing a good name for the child:
So that it reflects the parents' desire for the child and expresses their love and acceptance of the child first, and secondly, the child feels proud and honored by this name.
Second: Showing pleasure and pride in the child:
Parents should show the child that they feel proud and honored to have a child like him, and that they are happy and pleased to have him with them.
Third: Petting:
Petting the child helps create the conditions for developing and growing his personality in a harmonious way, and not achieving this becomes a cause for feelings of worry, sadness and other bad feelings.
Fourth: Good treatment:
One of the manifestations of acceptance is good and kind treatment of the child, and sometimes the parents' treatment of the child appears in a way that indicates that he is an extra or unimportant presence, as the child is well aware of this and is affected by it.
Fifth: Listening to him:
When a child learns a sentence, a line of poetry, or a specific song, he seeks to read it to his parents, because he sees that it is considered a very strange and wonderful thing, and sometimes a question comes to his mind about a certain issue, and he wants to ask his parents about it or wants to tell a story that he has learned. In this case, the parents should listen to his words with patience and forbearance, and even encourage him when necessary.
Sixth: Not resorting to discrimination in the home:
Fair treatment and observing justice in the home is not considered mercy more than it is a duty and responsibility. Parents have no right to favor one child over another because of his gender or appearance, and not give the other any importance.
