Malthusian Equation
The so-called Malthusian equation is an antiquated term for the equation
describing exponential growth. The constant 
is sometimes called the Malthusian parameter.
The term itself refers to the influential work of Thomas Malthus in which the growth of the human population is speculated to be exponential.
