In METRICAL PHONOLOGY, a FOOT-shape PARAMETER which governs the DISTRIBUTION of STRESSES. Bounded feet contain no more than two or three SYLLABLES, and stresses fall within limited distances from each other and from word EDGES. Unbounded feet have no restriction in size or on stress distribution.
