Parents' duties do not end with providing food and clothing for their children. Children and young people have various physical and psychological needs, some of which can be removed by, travel, and participation in various sporting, cultural, and artistic activities. Throughout the school year, children spend several hours a day studying at school, and another part of their free time is spent in completing school tasks and personal matters for them, if the parents do not think about how to fill the hours remaining for them, the children will feel bored and lethargic from this free time, and they may get busy in neglected work, or these free hours will lead them to find relationships with unfit people.
The following procedures are considered necessary for the proper use of leisure hours for children and young people:
1- The home must have some books and entertainment tools, so that the child, after completing his school duties, can occupy his remaining free time with something useful.
2- Parents must provide some entertainment programs for their children outside the home, and spend part of their time entertaining the children.
3- It is necessary to take children from time to time to public libraries, parks, cinemas, theatre, religious ceremonies, family visits and travel.
4- During summer days, when children have more free hours, parents must cover these times for their children with sports, simple work, cultural and artistic programs, training in professions, reading, travel and visits, as well as benefiting from good sports and cultural clubs and relying on good educators. It is also necessary for parents to participate with their children. Play inside the house as much as possible.
