Solvent/ Reagent Blank.

A solvent blank checks solvents and reagents thatare used during  sample  preparation and analysis. Sometimes, a blank correction or zero sett ing is done based on the reagent measurement. Forexample, in atomic or molecular spectroscopy, the solvents and reagentsused in sample preparation are used to provide the zero setting.
