Encourage your children
12:42:17 2023-07-05 938

- Do not focus on the mistakes of your children, and avoid scolding, blaming and shaming.

- Always focus on the positive side instead of the negative. Saying: (You got 10 out of 20 right in the exam) is much better than saying: (You got 10 out of 20 wrong), even though the result is the same.

Focus your attention on the right behavior, and encourage it.

- Do not exaggerate in flattery, and do not compare the child with others, as this is what leads to rivalry instead of cooperation and harmony.

Use expressions of good encouragement rather than vulgar flattery.

So you say, for example: (I love such-and-such from you), (and I appreciate such-and-such quality in you), instead of saying: (You are wonderful), (you are better than so-and-so).

- Use expressions in which you express your pleasure in his work:

For example, you say: (I now feel that you are able to do this work), instead of saying to him: (You are a wonderful boy for your age).

Note the progress and improvement in your child.

She says to him: (I noticed that you have a good relationship with your brother in the recent period), and she says: (A few months ago, you could not read more than ten pages, but now you have completed reading the whole story).

Avoid discouraging:

Do not say: (Why don't you be like so-and-so?), or (You are a lazy boy), (You are always a naughty boy), and (Your room is always untidy).

- Do not try to correct the error as soon as it occurs, delay it a little until things calm down.

- When your son says to you: (Don't tell me what I should do), don't say to him: (I am your father and you have to do what I tell you).

- And when he says to you: (I hate so-and-so, and I will never play with him again), do not say to him: (You must not hate him, and you have to play with him).

- And if he tells you: (I am not good at mathematics), do not say to him: (Mathematics is very easy, and why do you not understand it?)
