The problem of escaping from school

This problem is a social-educational, and therefore economic, problem that worries many parents, and although the percentage indicated by statistics for the case of escaping from school is a small percentage, this does not prevent it from being a problem whose causes and roots must be investigated in an attempt to treat it and put an end to it, especially since those who run away from school will constitute a new push for the number of ignorant illiterate people in society, or a large number of them may deviate to acts that harm them personally and harm society. The reasons for escaping from school are many, including:

First: Health reasons:

The child may be forced to be absent for health reasons due to treatment and convalescence (rest at home) for multiple periods, which makes him late to catch up with his peers who have received a greater share of education, and explain more lessons to them, which causes him to fall behind in some or most subjects, as he gets low grades, feels frustrated, failed and stressed.

Second: Bad treatment:

Bad or harsh treatment, and mockery by teachers and educational officials may be the reason for escaping, to get rid of insult and punishment.

Third: Inappropriateness of the curriculum:

In other reasons, we find that some students are not suited to certain theoretical studies, so they get bored and tired, and as a result of the absence of educational and professional guidance, they resort to the negative method of leaving school by escaping, at a time when this problem could have been avoided by reviewing the curricula.

Fourth: Insufficient mental maturity:

Some children are sent to schools at an early age, before reaching the stage of mental and emotional maturity. They have not yet formed a correct idea about education and its benefits in kindergarten or primary school, and they do not understand anything about school except that it is a confiscation of their freedom, suppression of their desires, and ignoring of their requirements, so they go to it reluctantly, waiting for the first opportunity available to them to break this circle, so they leave school.

Fifth: Parents' treatment:

Some parents are characterized by extreme affection towards their children, especially the mother who feels in the first days of her child going to school as if this school is taking this child away from her, so as a result of this feeling, more affection and care appear, which raises questions in the child, and forms question marks in him about this new institution that distances him from his mother, and causes her extreme anxiety about him, which is represented by her behavior towards him that sometimes reaches the point of exaggeration. Thus, the nucleus of a feeling of hatred and aversion to school is formed in the child, based on the perception he has.
