Gifted and talented education Key issues

We have reviewed the background to the emerging agenda for gifted and talented education, and has suggested that our most able pupils have educational needs that deserve recognition. However, there is no implication here that there is anything esoteric or highly specialist about gifted and talented education. It is simply good practice applied to a particular population within the school. The sorts of practices that effective teachers and teaching assistants employ in their general work will succeed in this context too.
